The Toulouse band The Banyans are about to have an eventful 2013.
Besides the release of their first album, "Steppin Forward" (Agis-Son label), expected on 18 February 2013 and featuring musicians Guillaume "Stepper" Briard and Didier Bolay among others, the six friends will set off on a major tour from 5 February.
Having opened in 2011 for Groundation, Israel Vibration, Aswad, Anthony B and U-Roy, Clinton Fearon, the Banyans will notably open for Ky-mani Marley on 9 February in Cluses, in Haute-Savoie. In March, the band will join the tour of Horace Andy and Johnny Clarke.
The Banyans' tour will end on 13 April, at Le Petit Bain in Paris.
Note that the Toulouse band, formed in 2008, appeared on the compilation "French Reggae Revolution" (October 2011, Soulbeats records), alongside Sinsemilia, Danakil, Dub Inc, Broussai...
