The Rebel Salute festival will celebrate its 20th anniversary on 18 and 19 January, at Richmond Estate in Priory, St. Ann.
There are two novelties around the event so dear to Tony Rebel. First, it will take place over two days for the first time. Second – and for the fourth time, Rebel Salute is changing venue, moving from the south (Port Kaizer, St. Elizabeth) to the north of the island (Priory, St. Ann), hoping to benefit from local tourism in the heart of the winter season.
The festival's organisers (including two of Tony Rebel's daughters, Kenya and Jahyudah) have put together a choice line-up, which of course includes Tony Rebel. Queen Ifrica, Luciano, Prezident Brown, Chezidek, Marcia Griffiths, Cali P, Iba Mahr and Tidal will be among the singers performing at this Rebel Salute 2013.
