Sizzla was named ambassador of the "Drug KO" anti-drug campaign run by the World Boxing Association last Saturday, at the "Rumble on Jamrock" meeting held at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston.
Decorated with a medal by Gilberto Mendoza, president of the WBA, the August Town singjay climbed into the ring between bouts to sing some of his hits, including Hosanna. Spice and Tony Rebel were also present for the occasion.
"We love sport and we love boxing. Sport and music go hand in hand, we all need more of this, and we have been waiting a long time for events like these to help us develop our culture", Sizzla said, among other things.
