Three new releases are on the way at Scotch Bonnet Records. On 14 January, the Scottish label of the Mungo's Hi Fi sound system will put out three productions (two 7-inch singles and one 12-inch).
On the first 7-inch, the Leeds sound Tradesman makes its first vinyl production with the track In a competition, in collaboration with Parly B, an MC from Doncaster. Tradesman offers a version of the Competition riddim on the B-side.
The second 7-inch (in limited edition) is a remix of the UK classic by Michael Prophet and Ricky Truff, Your Love, revisited by Mungo Hi Fi.
Finally, for its first appearance under the Scotch Bonnet banner, the Strasbourg sound system Subactive delivers on its 12-inch (see photo) the tracks Rocking in the frontline and Brixton frontline, performed respectively by El Fata, whose last collaboration with the Scottish label dates back to 2007 (Mary Jane) and Ranking Levy, a member of the My Lord Sound collective.
