Registration for the European Reggae Contest is now closed: it is time to vote for your favourite band.
Until 15 February, internet users will pick their favourites. For now, France has the largest number of entrants (more than fifty) ahead of Italy. Among the French bands are The Banyans (who are about to release their album "Steppin Forward"), Jah-Gaïa, Obidaya, Kéya Manga, Guive & The Ora, Beta Simon, Ackboo Ft. Zion I and many others.
Russia's entrants include the Selfplayers, whom we met as part of our reggae world tour, and whose interview can be read here.
You can also vote for the Reggae Contest Latino until 31 January. It lets you choose the winners among the 260 bands and 129 singjays from Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia and the San Andrés archipelago. (The last two are taking part in this contest for the first time).
The winners of the online votes will go on to the finals in their respective countries, in France on 4 April in Paris.
The finalists from each country will finally face off in the grand final, on 25 May in Zurich (Switzerland).
