Musical Riot, the force behind the monthly Dub Station nights, is launching its Dubshop.
This online shop offers a wide catalogue of titles, from 60s ska to the latest European dub productions.
"In 2004, when we left our Tribute concert venue near Aix-en-Provence, it seemed important to us to give the audience that follows us access to the productions of the artists we worked with, says Sébastien. No record shop in Provence sold records from the UK dub scene. So, by coming to the nights we organised, the audience could, as well as watching their favourite sound systems or producers perform, get hold of their vinyl."
The Dubshop thus lets you buy vinyl (LP, 10", 12", 7") or download in WAV format productions that are already out, but also exclusives and dubplates unavailable in the shops.
"To date, King Alpha (UK), T.i.T (Fr), Sak Dub I (Japan), Pupa Kazuman (Japan), Unitone (UK), Digitron (Croatia) and Riddim Tuffa (Scotland) have joined the project. Many others should appear before long."
