French producer Ackboo is releasing his first album, "Turn up the amplifier".
Since his first single in 2009, Bangladesh dub (on the English label Roots Youths), Ackboo has kept forging ahead. Four years on, the fruits of his encounters and collaborations form the heart of his debut album, "Turn up the amplifier".
It features Omar Perry (Lee Perry's son), Macky Banton on the unmissable title single, King General, Zion I and Matic Horns (aka Henry "Buttons" Tenyue), the emblematic English trombonist. Bangladesh Dub also finds its place on the album, in a version remixed by Odg.
Available as a digital download since 18 March, "Turn up the amplifier" will be out on CD from 8 April.
A tour is also planned. In Toulouse, at the Bikini, Macky Banton and Zion I will join Ackboo, who will play before Biga Ranx. In Paris, Macky Banton, King General, S'Kaya and Zion I will be on hand, while The Banyans and The Aquatics will also perform that night.
