The French saxophonist Guillaume "Stepper" Briard is about to release his first album on Taxi, Sly & Robbie's label.

You have certainly spotted him at a concert by Horace Andy, Ken Boothe, the Jamaica All Stars, or any other artist backed by the famous Homegrown Band. Guillaume Briard is also a composer and album producer ("Now" by U-Roy, "Mek It Bun" and "Livin'It Up" by Horace Andy).
Spotted by Sly & Robbie, this multi-instrumentalist (sax, guitar, keyboards, percussion) joined the Taxi Gang in the early 2000s.
All that was missing was an album under his own name. That is now done, with the release of "Stepper Takes The Taxi" on 29 March 2013. Mixed by Fabwise (Fabien Boyer), Stepper lays his saxophone over riddims driven by Sly & Robbie (Taxi, Baltimore, Revolution…).
