Although it traditionally takes place in July, the Ruhr Reggae Summer will this year kick off the festivals east of the Rhine with a special edition, from 9 to 12 May in Dortmund.
Over three days, the line-up includes Shaggy, Tommy Lee, Patrice, Groundation, Alpha Blondy, Walshy Fire (who joined Diplo in Major Lazer), Capleton, Richie Campbell, Ward 21, Randy Valentine, and also Martin Jondo, Curse, Nosliw, Ganjaman, Uwe Banton and The Busters, who will play at home.
On the sound system side, the festival welcomes David Rodigan, Black Chiney, but also Tek 9, Pow Pow, Warrior Sound International, Beginner Soundsystem, Jugglerz, Irie Crew, Heavy Hammer and many more...
Ruhr Reggae Summer will also take place as usual on 19, 20 and 21 July 2013 in Muelheim. So far, Ky-mani Marley, Protoje, Max Herre and Desorden Publico are announced.
