For Record Store Day (Disquaire Day in France) last month, Greensleeves reissued Little John's Clarks Booty, his song in homage to the famous English shoemaker.
A reissue like no other… The vinyl is a collector's item because the disc is shaped like a Clarks Desert Boot!
On the A-side you will therefore find Little John's Clarks Booty, produced by King Jammy (on the Father Jungle Rock riddim), and Scorcher's Put On Me Clarks on the B-side.
From Little John in 1985 to Vybz Kartel in 2010, Jamaica has long had a love affair with Clarks. A story told by Al Fingers in the book "Clarks in Jamaica".
