On 24 September, Shaggy will release his twelfth studio album, titled "Out of Many, One Music" (a reference to the Jamaican national motto, "Out of many, one people").

An album that Shaggy wanted as a meeting of the reggae of the pioneers and his pop style, which has enjoyed so much success. Little wonder, then, that the name of Black Uhuru is quick to surface, when you know that Sly & Robbie took charge of producing the album?
"These tracks with a Black Uhuru-style bass and drum, and my writing and pop melodies add a nice touch to the album, Shaggy confided, which will be both solid and authentic." An album that Shaggy intends to stand behind as a genuine collaboration with the Riddims Twins, Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare.
"I was criticised for years for my lack of authenticity because of my pop success. People say I'm like this, like that… I'm making a reggae album with the masters of the genre and people recognise that it changes the game. The first two singles have already given an idea. You will be the judges on 24 September!", Shaggy concluded.
Preceded by his combination with Beres Hammond, Fight This Feeling (see the video below), the album will see Mister Bombastic rub shoulders with quite a cast of artists: Ne Yo (You Girl, the album's second single), but also Damian Marley, Tarrus Riley, Konshens, Chronixx, Peetah Morgan, Cocoa Tea... and many more.
"Out Of Many, One Music" will be available digitally on 24 September 2013.
To mark the album's release, Shaggy will go on tour, taking in France. He will play the Bataclan (Paris) on Tuesday 22 October, with Sly & Robbie, and Rayvon as opening act.
