Arrested on 15 October, the deejay Young Chang MC, his manager and a friend have been charged. They have been jailed and charged with abduction, unlawful confinement, acts of torture and barbarity, attempted extortion and attempted murder.
The backdrop to the case is drug trafficking between Martinique and mainland France. Met at the end of a concert, a "mule" was tasked with carrying cannabis resin but was intercepted by customs.
According to the Nancy prosecutor's office, the three suspects then allegedly went looking for the mule and tried to get their money back through violence, on 29 September, in the suburbs of Nancy.
