Reissue of Ease Up The Pressure by Delroy Melody

The new label Jamwax inaugurates its catalogue with the reissue of Delroy Melody's single Ease Up The Pressure.
The name of this Jamaican singer will probably not ring a bell with every reggae fan: Delroy Melody, like others before and after him, is one of the artists forgotten by reggae history.
We recounted his career and the recording of Ease Up The Pressure in an article published this summer.
The track Ease Up The Pressure, recorded in 1980 at Harry J studios, refers to the violence sweeping the island in that general election year (800 people would die that year), orchestrated by the two political parties, the JLP and the PNP. Delroy Melody calls out to the leaders, demanding that they "ease up the pressure".
Forgotten except by a few collectors, the song will be available again on 7" (with the dub on the B-side) and digitally from 1 December 2013.
