Pentateuch revisit ''The Genesis'' in acoustic form
on Thursday, April 10th 2014 - 13 015 views
Jamaican group Pentateuch will record an acoustic version of their first album, "The Genesis".
Like Richie Spice and Tarrus Riley before them, the young members of Pentateuch aim to deliver a more intimate version of the songs on the album "The Genesis", which had made a very good impression on us when it came out in 2012.
"Pentateuch always tries to do different things, says Kevor "Var" Williams, singer and leader of the group. Sometimes we get carried away by the rhythm of reggae without paying enough attention to the lyrics. With this acoustic album, we are slowing down so that fans can understand the message. We are giving them the opportunity to understand our words."
Made up of five members, Pentateuch was born at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts in 2009. On the back of their first album, they went on their first European tour in 2013. Making this acoustic version of "The Genesis" does not stop the group from working on a third album, provisionally titled "Chapter 18", whose first single Presure has already been unveiled.
