The band Wailing Trees have won the Reggae Contest Europe final, organised every year by Rototom.
The day before, they had won their ticket to the grand final against Mawyd and Mystical Faya, the French finalists. On Sunday 8 June at the Rock School Barbey in Bordeaux, the continental final brought together Wailing Trees (France), Malaka Youth (Iberian Peninsula), PieroDread & Vibespoint Band (Italy), Collie Herb & The Vibe Controllers (Germany), Atomic Spliff and the Rebel Dubz (Northern Europe) and Mâsta Bâsta (Eastern Europe).
Wailing Tre thus win the famous festival tour, and will play Summerjam (Germany), Reeds Festival (Switzerland), Sardinia Reggae Festival (Italy), Reggae Sun Ska (France), Overjam Festival (Slovenia) and of course Rototom Sunsplash (Spain).
