Opus riddim

Hailing from Besançon, the Rise & Shine Band makes a fine start with its first series, the Opus riddim. A new-roots riddim with a rockers feel, nicely paced by its horns, which presents Jah Mason in good form (Here comes), though less sharp than Jah Marnyah, who is terribly effective on Not for sale.

The Opus riddim also features several French-speaking artists, such as Lord Bitum (La volonté), Dilo (Nouveaux horizons), Tribuman (Sunshine) and Don Valdes (Nos âmes pleurent). Also worth noting is the presence of Leah Rosier, a former Dutch top model who has embraced a singing career.

The Opus riddim is available as a download.
