BIO
Typical Féfé discovers reggae in the early 80s in Martinique. After settling in France, he hosts a reggae show on a local radio station, "Radio Clémentine", in Sartrouville. In 1988 he works with the Polino Hi-Fi sound system, which includes Tonton David, Nuttea and Polino. The following year, in 1989, he forms the Stand Tall Sound System with Mc Janik, Daddy Mory, Jah Mike...
In 1991 his first track, Fantômes, comes out on the compilation "Ragga Dub Force". It is the song Je chante pour les opprimés on the rap group Lafima's album that reveals him to the general public in 1996. After several tracks (Pa Jigé on "Lyrics Puissance 4" and One, Two, Three on the Ruff Neg album "Universal"), Féfé decides to return to his native Martinique in 1995.
There, he links up with the Karukera Sound System before meeting the producer Don Miguel, of the label Don's Music. Typical Féfé thus lays down three tracks on the compilation "Dancehall News": J'ai pas 100 balles, Burning Out, and Il sauve. In 2004 the track Pull Up is a huge hit played on every radio station.
Typical Féfé has joined Tiwony in the Blackwarell Sound-System, French Sound System Champions in 2003. He can also be seen at the charity gala of the Comité Général de soutien à Mumia Abu-Jamal, in shows given in detention centres, and as part of the Téléthon.
When his path crosses Tiwony's, the duo Double Trouble is born, taking shape with the first album of the same name in 2002. Several tracks follow on various compilations and riddims: Savage, Axxia Riddim, R2D2 Riddim, Killa Session, Storm Alarm, and even on the soundtrack of the film "RRrrr". The duo do it again in 2005 with the release of their new album, "Revolution".
