We recently told you (news of 02/05/2008) about the album project from K-Salaam & Beatnick, the New York beatmakers, and its first single Street life, recorded by Buju Banton and Trey Songz. Release is confirmed for 1 June on VP for "Whose world is this ?", an opus bringing together Young Buck, Dead Prez, Talib Kweli and some prominent Jamaican guests, among others.
Besides Buju and Trey Songz, we can now add a track from Sizzla, Sail on, and a duet between Busy Signal and Papoose, To the rescue. Tracked down by K-Salaam all the way to Jamaica, the artists apparently signed up to the project without any certainty that it would see the light of day.
We knew that Jamaican artists were in demand in the United States; here is a new example.
