A new series of 7-inch singles is on its way from the French label Heartical: the Ministerio del Dub Riddim, by the Basque Dub Foundation. On a riddim moulded around a powerful bassline, the series gives pride of place to the great names of 1970s roots. Starting with Alton Ellis, whose Peaceful Valley, recorded in London in 2006, is one of his last tracks. But also Michael Rose, Little Roy, David Hinds (of Steel Pulse), Sugar Minott, Earl 16, Carl Dawkins (for a terrific Doggy Dog World), as well as Zareb (formerly Mr Flash), Papa Kojak and the French singer Lady M in a duet with Antonio. The megamix can be heard here.
Digital and vinyl release on 30 October 2008.
