Buoyed by the success of the first edition of Reggae Symphony, which brought together John Holt and Freddie Mc Gregor on a concept similar to their legendary concert at the Apollo in London with the London Symphonic Orchestra (news of 28/04/2008), the organisers have decided to do it again this year.
Again at the Broward Center in Fort Lauderdale, the 2009 edition of this event will take place on 29 March and should once more feature Freddie McGregor, but this time alongside Marcia Griffiths and Bob Andy.
On the musicians' side, the legendary saxophonist Dean Fraser will lend a hand to Lloyd Parkes's We The People Band and the Reggae Strings Orchestra.
