Three former UB40 members are preparing a new album

UB40's website yesterday carried big news for fans of the British band: the three founding members, Ali Campbell, Astro (Terence Wilson) and Michael Virtue, are currently in the studio working on a new album.

Three former UB40 members are preparing a new album

Formed in 1978, UB40 has gone through many incarnations since Ali Campbell left in 2008, quickly followed by Mickey Virtue. Ali's brother Duncan Campbell took over on vocals (and not Maxi Priest, as was first announced). In November 2013, it was Astro's turn to distance himself from the Birmingham band.

Last December, Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey Virtue found themselves together on the stage of the O2 Arena in London, kicking off this studio reunion.
