The first importer of reggae into France, Serge Gainsbourg returns with two 12” singles: "Lola Rastaquouère" and "Aux Armes et cætera", on Universal.

These two classics from the reggae repertoire of the man with the cabbage head are embellished here with the dub and deejay versions first heard on the Deluxe edition of the album "Aux Armes et caetera" released in 2003.
The project, led by Bruno Blum and sound engineer Soljie Hamilton, added dubs and invited deejays to lay down their versions - here, Big Youth and Lisa Dainjah. The "Lola Rastaquouère" maxi also adds the variation by the rock diva Marianne Faithfull, Lola R for Ever, recorded in 2005.
