Jamaica Insula reissues its ''Histoire de la Jamaïque''
on Monday, May 18th 2015 - 24 703 views
Long unavailable, the fantastic “Histoire de la Jamaïque” by Thibault Ehrengardt is to be reissued by DREAD Editions. This essential book, which looks at the history of the island between 1494 and 1838, came out in 2009 but was sold out a year later.
This reissue fills that gap, with a new cover and a new version of the text. It takes us back over 300 years of history, beginning with the discovery of the island by Christopher Columbus in 1494 and running up to the abolition of slavery.
The book will be available in early June 2015. Pre-orders (at a preferential price) are open on the Jamaica Insula site.
One winner drawn at random from the first 100 buyers will receive an authentic map of the island of Jamaica dating from 1758.
On Reggaefrance, try to win 5 copies of “L’Histoire de la Jamaïque”! Enter the competition
