He left his mark on dancehall by inventing new dances: from the Bogle in the early 90s to the recent Sesame Street dance step with Elephant Man. Gerald Levy, aka Bogle, leader of the "Black Roses Crew", died yesterday, Thursday 20 January, shot dead as he left a party. After leaving the "Weddy Weddy Wednesday", Bogle, accompanied by four people, is said to have stopped at a service station when two men on a motorbike opened fire on the group. Bogle, hit by several bullets, died on the spot. The others were taken to hospital.
A few hours later, the house of a certain John Hype, who was at the party and had a strained relationship with Bogle, burned down. He is also accused of being involved in the dancer's murder.
