Blackboard Jungle, one of the spearheads of the Rouen reggae scene, now has a new shop window on the web with the creation of an official site. For those who already frequented their MySpace, this new, much fuller site presents their sound system activity as well as their brand-new label, set up at the start of the year. The usual content is available: biography, concert dates, audio excerpts, photos and videos, plus their selection of the tracks most played live.
Founded in 1994 but truly active since 1999 on the French sound system scene, Blackboard Jungle make no secret of their inspiration from the English scene and sounds such as Jah Shaka or Aba Shanti I. They were present at the first edition of the Ja Sound Festival, are residents at the Paris Dub Club and have been guests several times at Dub Meetings (including last weekend, replacing King Shiloh).
