We left him on a memorable "Coup de gueule" in 2004. Since then, Tiken Jah Fakoly has mostly donned the producer's hat, creating his label Fakoly Productions, which put out Beta Simon's new album, "Kraity Payan Guez", last month (news of 23/04/2007).
Three years after his last effort, Tiken returns behind the mic with a new album, "L'Africain", recorded in his H. Camara studio in Bamako. Note that production of the album was entrusted to Kevin Bacon and Jonathan Quarmby, producers of Finley Quaye's first album.
It also features collaborations with Beta Simon (Ma Côte d'Ivoire) and Soprano (Ouvrez les frontières), the latter being the album's first single. Release scheduled for 24 September.
