Amy Winehouse wants to record in Jamaica
on Monday, January 21st 2008 - 7 429 views
Amy Winehouse is nothing if not persistent. After laying down a series of reggae tracks and covers (Monkey Man, You're wondering now, Cupid) for the deluxe version of her previous album ("Back to Black", released in 2006), the English singer could now take the definitive step and record her entire third album in Jamaica.
That is what the soul-trash singer is said to have repeated to those close to her, remarks reported by the Mirror : "I love Jamaica and I want to feel the spirit of Bob Marley when it comes to my music." Adding : "I want to settle where he lived and meet his son Damian because he's a genius. I'm ready to do anything to go there." Given the singer's track record (Rehab didn't come out of nowhere), this is hardly likely to soften her reputation.
