While the Californian band will be touring France from next month, the members of Groundation are not short of ideas. We know a little more about the project bringing together Harrison Stafford, Marcus Urani and Ryan Newman, the group’s three founders, as well as drummer Leroy Horsemouth Wallace.
Gathered under the banner "Rockamovya", the ten tracks written and composed by this dream team give pride of place to the music, with soul and jazz influences. The faithful are still there: the production is shaped by Jim Fox, the band’s regular engineer, and the artwork is by Giovanni Maki, who already did the superb sleeves of Groundation’s previous albums.
The musical result arrives on 17 June, on Young Tree / On The Corner.
