Poison Dart, from Tampa, Florida, a worthy representative of the American sound systems, which has taken part in numerous international competitions and was American champion in 2003, is mourning the loss of two of its members and one of their friends.
Michael F. Rattigan and Antone Geargo Neely, better known by their respective stage names, Chris Rock and Tony Montana, and their friend Kevin Jordache Webster were all three shot dead in a bar in the town of Auburndale on the night of Friday to Saturday.
Although the police still have no serious leads on the perpetrators of this triple murder, a direct link with the sound system's selectors already seems to have been established, since the two pals were in the habit of playing at this bar every Friday and had already been at the centre of an argument the previous week.
A special night in honour of the three victims will take place on Saturday 31 May.
