Dub has found its reference documentary: "Musically Mad". For four years, the Swedes of Meditative Sound followed the biggest names of the English sound system scene. Through numerous interviews (among them Iration Steppas, Murray Man, King Shiloh, Russ Disciples, Reuben Addis, Channel One, Fatman Sound, Young Warrior, Joe Ariwa, Mad Professor, Levi Roots...) and live concerts (Aba Shanti I, Iration Steppas, Mighty Tabot, Channel One, King Earthquake, Entebbe Sound, Fairshare Unity), "Musically Mad" traces the history and the technique of sound systems.
A bass-heavy DVD that comes with a 16-page booklet on sound system culture in England, written by David Katz. Several extracts can be viewed here.
Available since 10 July at a price of €20 (postage included in France), the DVD can be ordered directly from Musical Riot.
