Massilia Sound System, a genuine institution of the Marseille music scene, is in mourning: Lux B, one of the group's MCs, died on 18 July of cancer, aged 47. Having first worked behind the scenes, Lux Botté made his stage debut with Massilia in 1992. A radio host and stage animal, he had also formed the more rock-leaning group Oai Star in 2000.
