Following the fire that destroyed his car in the night from Sunday to Monday (news of 25/08/2008), Vybz Kartel was quick to deny the rumour that unknown assailants had set off a bomb that caused the incident.
Calling these accusations "ridiculous" in comments to the site One876Entertainment.com, the DJ explains that an electrical fault set his engine on fire, and that the fire was quickly put out by the fire brigade.
He took the opportunity to point out that the "battles" between Mavado and himself are confined to their songs and that he feels no real animosity towards him. Kartel added that he has no intention whatsoever of performing the songs in question in public, preferring to stick to the more positive message of his recent singles, such as Money fi spend or Life sweet.
