We already knew of Snoop Dogg's taste for forays off the beaten track of hip-hop, and several clues suggest that his next project will be reggae.

At the beginning of the month, the American rapper announced that the Californian punk-rock-reggae band Slightly Stoopid and above all Stephen Marley would be joining him on his summer tour, the "Blazed and confused tour", for about twenty dates in the United States.
We learn today that Snoop, backed by the Marley family, has already recorded several reggae tracks in his studio, in anticipation of an album entirely devoted to the genre.
This project remains a personal initiative, however, and would not involve the label Columbia, which is due to release "Malice in wonderland", Snoop's 10th solo album, next September.
