Provence in Dub
on Wednesday, June 30th 2010 - 7 124 views
Musical Riot, organiser of, among others, the celebrated travelling Dub Station nights, announces the first edition of the Peyrolles Splash, in Peyrolles-en-Provence on Saturday 10 July.
On the bill, a line-up that is a first for France: Channel One Sound-System (London) will meet Iration Steppas (Leeds). The two sounds will be celebrating their 30th and 20th anniversaries respectively and will play on their own sound systems, built in the purest UK tradition.
The event, originally planned for the Plantain lake, will finally be held at the Max Sequeira stadium from 7pm. A stalls village, a bar and food areas will be available to the public.
The Peyrolles Splash is dedicated to the memory of Manutension (1971-2009), a militant from the very first hour and founder of the Bordeaux group Improvisators Dub.
