Singer Gyptian is to join Nas and Damian Marley's American tour, with a first appearance on 24 August in Charlotte (North Carolina).
This is certainly a consequence of the enormous buzz around Gyptian in the United States: his single Hold you is still tearing up various charts and remains a serious contender for song of the summer, while the album of the same name is ranked second in the Billboard reggae albums chart. The magazine notes that no underground Jamaican artist has achieved such popularity in the United States since Wayne Wonder and his hit No letting go.
Besides his tour with Nas and Damian, Gyptian is booked for several festivals. He is also scheduled in St Croix, Costa Rica and England… before probably landing in continental Europe.
