The organisers of Reggae Sun Ska had said so: the La Garosse sports ground, which hosted the 2010 edition, was a "transitional" site. Indeed, the festival is still looking for a site for next year, after this summer's success. A first piece of land had been found, before a backlash from local residents scuppered the project.
On 14 October, a round table brought together the festival's organisers, Music’ Action, and elected officials from the local authorities concerned. At the end of this meeting, the participants agreed on the need to support the festival so that it stays in the Médoc, the latter being "a major event, culturally, touristically, in media terms and economically alike". Music’Action hopes to announce the new venue for the 2011 edition before the end of autumn.
