Some twenty albums, thirty years of career... but not a single documentary devoted to him. Despite his exceptional trajectory, nobody had taken an interest in the career of Alpha Blondy, the star of African reggae and "rastaphilosopher", as he likes to call himself.
That has now changed: Antoinette Delafin and Dramane Cissé have made the documentary "Alpha Blondy, un combat pour la liberté", which they describe as "a musical film blending biographical elements with political and spiritual reflections".
The documentary, produced by Zaradoc Films, will be broadcast in the course of January 2011 on RFO.
