One of the hits of 2010, Gyptian's song Hold you also holds the record for the number of complaints lodged in 2010 by Jamaican listeners with the Broadcast Commission of Jamaica (BCJ), the authority responsible for regulating audiovisual media.

According to the reports of this body, for example, 15% of the 27 complaints made in June concerned Hold you. The complainants' argument: the song, played heavily on the airwaves and on television, allegedly contains sexual innuendo that makes it just as explicit as other tracks that have been banned. There is reportedly a triple play on words in the chorus.
Gyptian has of course denied deliberately introducing a double meaning in his track. We therefore reproduce the incriminated chorus below so that you can judge for yourselves (a little hint: one of the most obvious puns would have to do with the way Jamaicans pronounce the verb "hold"):
" Gyal mi wan fi hold you
Put mi arms right around you
Gyal you give me the tightest hold me ever get inna my life.
Gyal mi wan fi just squeeze you
Put mi tings right around you
Gyal you give me tightest hold me ever get inna mi life. "
