Alpha Blondy is reportedly now unwelcome in his own country. That is what Guillaume Soro, Alassane Ouattara's Prime Minister, declared while visiting Senegal.

"Gbagbo does not want to see Alpha Blondy in Côte d'Ivoire," he told journalists at a press conference during a visit to Senegal from 12 to 19 February.
At issue are Alpha Blondy's statements since the post-election crisis gripping the country: "Gbagbo, you lost the election, we wanted to win, we didn't win, leave power."
While no confirmation has yet come from the Gbagbo administration, Alpha Blondy could well share the fate of Tiken Jah Fakoly, himself forced to leave Côte d'Ivoire for several years.
