On Saturday 12 February, Radio Nova will offer its listeners a special six-hour programme broadcast live from Jamaica. Presenters Mélanie Bauer and Paul Holdengräber will go on air from the Goldeneye Resort hotel, on the north coast of the island, a stone's throw from the newly renamed Ian Fleming airport.
For the record, Nova is responding to an invitation from Chris Blackwell, founder of Island Records and owner of the resort. He knew Jean-François Bizot, the father of Radio Nova, well when Bizot ran the magazine Actuel, and now wishes to pay tribute to him by inaugurating a Bizot Bar within his establishment.
Reports, interviews and live music are on the menu. The icing on the cake: Blackwell has put together a playlist for every evening this week, available as a podcast on the Nova Planet website.
