The Le Mans-based label Irie Ites pays tribute to the Jamaican label Freedom Sounds and its founder, the producer Bertram Brown (who died in 2008). Its latest release is indeed a recut of the Bucket Bottom riddim, popularised by Prince Alla and his haunting track of the same name.
A riddim replayed for the occasion by Mafia & Fluxy, Bongo Herman and Earl "Chinna" Smith (already present on the original), and on which Prince Alla (who revisits his own track) and Trinity are invited, the latter's Bad Boy Music being set to appear on his next album (due early 2012 on Irie Ites Records).
A.1. Bucket Bottom - Prince Alla
A.2. Bad Boy Music - Trinity
B.1. Dubwize - Jericho
B.2. Riddim Track
Available in October 2011 on 10" and digital.
