The digital terrestrial channel Direct Star will devote its Sunday 18 September evening to reggae, with two documentaries.
At 8.35pm, Reggae Pride will look back on the musical revolution of reggae, its golden age and its cultural legacy. Or how Jamaica, a small Caribbean island of three million inhabitants, became a source of musical inspiration irrigating the entire world. With interviews of Lee Scratch Perry, Burning Spear, Max Romeo, Alpha Blondy, Nuttea, Dillinger, King Jammy, Patrice, Princess Erika, Raggasonic, Groundation, Natty...
Lastly, at 9.35pm, the channel offers a portrait of the most famous of reggae artists, Bob Marley. As this year marks the anniversary of his death, "Bob Marley : les dernières heures de sa vie" revisits the life and work of the most famous Jamaican.
