''Kingston Fever'', Sherkhan tells the story of his Jamaica

Romain Chiffre, founder of the Tiger Records label, has put words and drawings to his personal and professional experience on the little Caribbean island. He first arrived there through the "Nuits Emeraude", a project of travel and musical encounters, and eventually settled there for the long term (read our interview with Sherkhan in 2007).

A travel journal chronicling his integration, "Kingston Fever" just as much tells of the underside of the Jamaican music industry and relates a few studio anecdotes. Sherkhan is also a talented draughtsman and illustrates his book with numerous drawings (landscapes, portraits…).

If you would like to meet Sherkhan, a signing session is being held tomorrow (5pm), Saturday 19 November 2011, in Paris, at the Bistrot littéraire Les Cascades in the 20th arrondissement.

To buy the book online, head to the Tiger Records Facebook page.
