A showcase for the music scene of the Guiana Shield, the Trasamazoniennes festival takes place this year from 10 to 13 November in Saint Laurent du Maroni, and for the first time, on 19 November in Saint-Georges de l'Oyapock, in the east of the country.
This sixth edition, themed Cultures & Resistance, comes with a substantial programme: Bunny Wailer, Julian Marley, Rod Taylor, Naby, Paille, Prince Koloni, Little Guerrier, but also Chris Combette, Fondering, the Heartical sound system, Skandalyze and many more…
Dozens of artists will follow one another over four days. Besides the concerts, conferences will explore this culture of resistance, with film screenings. On the programme: "Cultures of Resistance" by Iara Lee, "Désert Rebel" by François Bergeron and "Le Premier Rasta" by Hélène Lee.
Finally, artistic residencies undertaken since last year have allowed artists from around the world to write and compose songs together, which will be found on the compilation "Marronages".
