To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the legendary Studio One label, Soul Jazz Records and Agnès B are putting on a special night on Saturday 23 June at La Machine du Moulin Rouge (Paris).

A tribute will be paid to its illustrious founder Clement "Sir Coxsone" Dodd and to all the legendary artists who passed through the "Motown of Jamaica", such as The Skatalites, The Heptones, The Wailers, The Wailing Souls, Horace Andy, Jackie Mittoo, Ken Boothe, Alton Ellis, Sugar Minott, Johnny Osbourne and many more…
The night will begin with a preview screening of the documentary "Studio One Story" and carry on all night long with an exceptional line-up, backed by Soul Stereo, with Dawn Penn, Vin Gordon (aka Don Drummond Jr), Jim Brown, Lone Ranger, Carlton Livingston and the label's latest signing, Alpheus, taking the stage in turn.
A chance to retrace the extraordinary saga of Studio One, which began in the early 1960s and brought Jamaican music its credentials well beyond its borders.
