Six years had passed since the release of Wayne Wonder's last album, "Foreva", on VP Records.
Now 46, the singer behind the hits No Letting Go on the Diwali riddim (followed by Bounce along) as well as Bonafide Love with Buju Banton is putting out a new LP, titled "My Way", due on 4 December.
"My Way brings something new. I make sure my sound is up to date like a McBook Pro, but I also stick to what I do best. I'm a lover, so I sing about that (love), which is why my fans love me", Wonder confides.
Produced by his label Singso Music, "My Way" was recorded in Florida, where Wayne Wonder now lives, as well as in Jamaica. The 14-track tracklist includes the questionable single Drop It Down Low (to discover below), as well as features with Shaggy (Don't say no) and the American star Mya (If I ever).
"Kingston meets Miami on "My Way", Wonder warns. For this project he surrounded himself with a range of producers, such as Tony Kelly (co-producer of "No Holding Back", in 2003), Stephen McGregor, Dre Day, Freelancer and Riddim Fingaz.
