Out of print for eight years, the very rich database of "Roots Knotty Roots", the collectors' Bible, is now available on the Internet.
The gigantic "RKR" discography, put together on this project with the Swiss record shop ReggaeFever, lists the singles released between the 1950s and 1986, more than 60,000 tracks in all! A work that is indispensable to any digger of Jamaican music, now available online (covering the period 1953-1986).
"Roots Knotty Roots" provides each track with a range of information, precious to all enthusiasts: the artist, the matrix number (more than 23,000 listed), the label, the format, the producer, the date, the origin, the name of the riddim, of the B-side, etc…
Access to the Roots Knotty Roots discography is paid: 25 dollars for one year, 40 dollars for two years and 50 dollars for three years. A one-month trial period can be taken for 5 dollars.
