While awaiting the release of his first reggae album "Reincarnated" (produced by Major Lazer), Snoop Lion once again shows his attachment to Jamaica.

The former rapper relayed last Tuesday the launch of Mind Gardens, a non-profit project aiming to create community organic gardens (of fresh fruit and vegetables) for young schoolchildren in Jamaica. The initiative is also backed by the drinks maker Reed's Ginger Brew.
"When I went to Jamaica, we took the time to visit the communities of Kingston, and I was deeply affected by the poverty and the lack of good food for children", said the Californian. No child should go hungry. After all the inspiration Jamaica has given me, I felt a duty to create a programme to give back to the community".
Two community gardens have already been created in Tivoli Gardens and Trench Town, with residents receiving tools and advice to grow their own food effectively.
For the occasion, Snoop Lion is teaming up with the American entrepreneur and philanthropist John Paul DeJoria, co-founder of the company John Paul Mitchell Systems.
