As head of the Jukeboxx label, the producer Shane Brown was also Busy Signal's manager since 2007. That is now in the past: the two men have decided to part ways.

There is no falling-out or animosity between the two: the deejay explains his decision by his wish to take back control of his career: "I'm not getting any younger, and I just want things done differently, to do them myself. (…) I just want to control my life and my career, to me that's being ambitious.",
"The news surprised me, Shane Brown replied. But at the end of the day, a man is a man and has the right to choose his destiny".
Busy Signal's brothers will now take care of his management. Shane Brown remains in charge of his bookings. Finally, and this is probably the most important point, Shane Brown will continue to produce tracks for Busy Signal.
