Genestival celebrates its fifth edition by stretching to two days.

On 5 and 6 July, the festival based in Génelard, in Saône-et-Loire, will host Toots & The Maytals, The Congos, Clinton Fearon, The Skints, Saï, Stormillianz, Feylullah and Original Ganjah Mix.
Da Tune, initially announced, had to cancel because of health problems affecting one of the band members. A replacement will be announced soon.
New this year is the « Génel’art de rue », a craft market showcasing local producers and artisans, which will run all day on Saturday 6 July 2013.
As every year since 2009, this new edition aims to support the work of the association Coumba Ka, which helps Senegalese children go to school through sponsorship.
Thanks to the profits of the 2012 edition, the "Génécoles" project launched last year links the primary schools of Génelard (France) and Malika (Senegal). The documentary film made by the two schools for the occasion will be screened during the « Génel’art de rue ».
